E-Government Ceremony 2010E-Government 2010 Award

On Tuesday, March 16, 2010, Common Cause Massachusetts presented it’s annual e-Government Awards in Hearing Room A -1 at the State House. In 2010, these awards honor 181 towns and cities in Massachusetts that have made government more accessible via the Internet. The Town of Rockland, for the second year in a row, was one of the 181 Municipal websites to receive an E-Government award. The Rockland Webmaster accepted the award on behalf of the Town of Rockland.

E-Government 2011 Award

Common Cause Massachusetts decided not to review municipal websites this year; therefore, no annual E-Government Awards will be awarded in March, 2011. Common Cause wrote, “Because your progress has been so impressive, instead of reviewing web sites and giving awards this year, we plan to work with Common Cause members across the state and those of you who are interested to consider the most valuable direction in which to go, and how best to do so.” The Common Cause criteria for judging websites, in 2010, has been our guide in making local government accessible to Rockland residents.
