The Planning Board is responsible for holding public meetings and public hearings for Sign Permits, Form A’s, Site Plan Review, Design Review, Special Permits, Preliminary Subdivision Plan Review and Definitive Subdivision Plan Review. The Planning Board is also the Design Review Board.
The Planning Board submits their recommendation to Town Meeting on submitted zoning articles. The Planning Board and Zoning Board use the “State of Massachusetts Best Practices for Land Use” which allows both boards to have Joint Meetings. This helps to expedite the permitting process.
