It’s that time of year again to license your dogs. I know that this past year was very challenging and there will still be more hurdles this year, but we still need all the dogs in Rockland vaccinated and licensed. All the local vets are operating and can help with the vaccinations if needed.
The licensing period runs from January 1 to March 31. Plenty of time to take care of this and avoid any late fees. There are a few ways to license without having to go into Town Hall. You can license online on the Town Website; you can mail a check and a copy of the rabies certificate to the Clerk or drop them off in the mail slot attached to Town Hall.
I am asking that you share this information with everyone that you know who owns a dog in town. We did not assess any late fees last year, but they will be back in place this year. In spite of all the efforts to get this done, we still had many dogs that were not licensed last year. Remember that it is a Massachusetts law that we get this completed.
Thank you in advance for your help with this.
